10 Golden Rules of Good Blogging

Before you post

  1. Think about the purpose and audience of your blog
  2. Post original content and make sure that you credit and reference any non-original content
  3. No cyberbullying – NO put-downs or comments that could even be mistaken as being aggressive, insulting, offensive, negative.
  4. G-Rated content only (this includes any content that you link to) – this also means NO swearing
  5. Make your comments positive and constructive
  6. Use your alias and the aliases of others when making posts and comments
  7. Do NOT use an alias or blog title that impersonates someone else
  8. Do NOT post your, or anyone else’s, personal details (ie: real name, address, phone number, e-mail) or detailed information about where you or another person can be seen or found during the week
  9. Do NOT post or link to anything that would offend or upset anyone else
  10. Do NOT post “spam” or chain e-mails on your, or anyone else’s blog

Remember “Think before you Post”. Your blog can be seen by anyone with access to the Internet.
